Are Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup tying the knot anytime soon?

The British actress, 25, surprised fans with a huge diamond sparkler on her ring finger during an outing in New York City on Thursday.

Watts looked fashionable in a tan blazer over two layered black and white tops, wide-leg jeans, black flats, and dark sunglasses as she flashed a smile and walked with her dog.

Her boyfriend, fellow actor Crudup, 54, who she has been dating since 2017 was not present with her at the time.

The King Kong actress appeared on the Today Show that same day and with the same ring.

Co-host Hoda Kotb said,

“My eye is hurting. There’s like a big glint coming from some ring over here… It just struck me. It’s beautiful.”

Co-host Savannah Guthrie added,

“Hoda‘s asking if you’re engaged,”

Watts and the Almost Famous actor worked together on the famous Netflix series Gypsy in 2017. But their red carpet debut as a couple came five years later in February 2022.

They walked the red carpet together for the first time at the Screen Actors Guild Awards where Crudup received a nomination for his role on The Morning Show.

That same year, the pair attended the 74th Emmy Awards where the actor once again was nominated for his role on The Morning Show.

The Adore actress shared a few Instagram snaps the following day with the caption,

“Shout out to: @Prada for the frock! ?Billy for the fun ?.”

Her other post showed the duo posing together on the carpet with a caption that read,

“What a night … What a dress … What a gent … ❤️✨.”

Naomi and Billy’s past relationships, children

Most recently, the lovebirds almost held hands at Billy’s new series premiere two months ago.

The lovebirds have managed to keep most parts of their relationship under wraps, making only a few public appearances together and rarely speaking about each other in interviews.

However, they have shared a few moments on social media.

Billy did pass a small gesture of love to his ladylove this past February. Hist Makho Ndlovu asked him what two objects and two people from the earth he’d bring to the moon.

The Hello Tomorrow actor responded,

“Well, my guitar, probably, and maybe a six-pack of Corona. And then my son and my girlfriend,”

Before Billy, Naomi was in a long-term relationship with Liev Schreiber which ended in 2016. Together the exes share two children: Samuel kIA, 14, and Alexander Pete, 15.

Crudup shares a 19-year-old son William Atticus with actress Mary-Louise Parker. The two split in 2003.

After that, he dated Claire Danes from 2003 to 2006.
