British Paralympic athlete Natasha Baker is pregnant!
Natasha Baker MBE is expanding her brood! Really excited to see what will the new child of the Paralympic champion with her husband Marc Jaconelli would look like. Natasha married business owner Marc in March 2022, before revealing,
“This is going to be our first Christmas as Mr and Mrs, but our last as just the two of us! It’s something we always wanted and planned for, but it’s happened quicker than we ever expected.”
The reigning champion whose latest victory includes, team gold and two individual silvers in the Tokyo Games in the summer of 2021 is now expecting a child. She had also earned two more medals from the equestrian Herning World Championships in Denmark right before their March wedding.
The couple who are now pregnant discovered their pregnancy days after their Maldives honeymoon. They were shocked but have not revealed the baby’s gender yet,
“We were both in complete shock. Never in a million years did I think it would happen as quickly as it has. We are so lucky. It’s a blessing – and it works out perfectly timing-wise for Paris.”
Natasha is hoping to compete at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with the disability she experienced due to the rare inflammatory disease transverse myelitis as a baby.

In the interview with Hello Magazine, Natasha spoke about the new challenges that come along with being a parent with a disability. They are planning a baby and talking about parenting duties as well.
“There’s a lot more to think about than for your average new parents. I’m going to be able to be hold the baby, but I’m not going to be able to walk and carry them, so we’ll need to find ways around that.”
Her plan is to inspire other parents with a disability from her own parenting journey. She is documenting the whole thing as she adds,
“I’d like to use social media to take people on the journey with us. If we can help future parents in our situation, that would be great.”
Meanwhile, father-to-be, Marc is sure of how his wife will be a great mom as he confessed,
“Natasha will be an amazing mum to the little one. She’s so strong-willed to want to do everything herself and not rely on other people, and I’ll always be there to help make it easier for her to do everything on her own.”
Natasha on being asked about how would she manage her elite schedule amidst balancing reported Hello!
“It’s about adapting. The baby is going to be coming to competitions with me so they’ll need to get used to being outside, around horses and staying in a horse box.”
