She was born on September 18, 1986, in the US and is of African-American, Spanish, and Italian descent.
She gained worldwide fame when she started dating Ne-Yo after meeting him on the set of his music video No Fiction. The couple soon fell for each other and started dating and within a few months, the news of their engagement was out.
Renay herself revealed that the singer proposed to her in their hotel room.

Addressing their divorce, the Mad singer said in a podcast interview:
“There’s nothing bad to say about her; she’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children. She’s always gonna be that, and I will always respect her.”
But during the COVID quarantine period, the couple spent enough time together and decided to reconcile. The couple renewed their wedding vows and then welcome their third child, a daughter named Isabella Rose in June 2021.
