Noodle, the cute pug, died at the age of 14
Noodle, a senior pug who is popular on social media for predicting whether it would be a bones day or a no bones day, has passed away.
His owner Jonathan Geaziano confirmed the tragic news in a short video addressing the demise of his beloved dog.
“I’m so sorry to have to share this, but Noodle passed yesterday. He was at home, he was in my arms. This is incredibly sad. It’s incredibly difficult. It’s a day that I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive.”
Adding to that Geaziano said he wants to encourage Noodle’s fans to celebrate his moments when navigating this sad phase. He continued,
“He lived 14 and a half years, which is about as long as you can hope a dog can. And he made millions of people happy. What a run.”
Similarly, he ended the video by thanking fans for “loving” and “embracing” him and Noodle over the past few years. He also quipped about Noodles’ infamous stating,
“Give your dog a cheese ball tonight, but it has to be the fake stuff.”
How Noodle the Pug and Jonathan Geaziano gained popularity?
The pug, Noodle, and his owner Jonathan Geaziano rose to popularity on TikTok last year during the pandemic through the video series called “bones or no bones?”.
Geaziano uploaded the video series regularly on his respective TikTok account in which he held Noodle up in a dog bed to see if the pug would stand up or proceed to lie back down. If Noodle remained standing up it would be declared a “bones” day and if the dog proceed to lie back it would be declared a “no bones” day.

Meanwhile, Graziano explained the significance of a bones day during his appearance on TODAY in October 2021. He expressed,
“A bones day is a day where you just have to go after your ambition or a task you were outing off. A no bones day is a day when you just permission to wear soft clothes, self-care, take a bath.”
Early this year, Graziano announced to release children’s book titled, “Noodle and the No Bones Day,” written by himself. The book featured both Noodle and his owner that released on June 7.
He illustrated the book, saying,
“The book is all about me figuring out that not only is it important for me to listen to Noodle when he does or does not want to do something, but that it’s OK to let people know when you need to have either a personal day or you’re ready to go out in the world,”
