Oliver Hudson spills family secrets

Oliver Hudson, 47, son of Goldie Hawn and brother of Kate Hudson, 45 is shamelessly talking in public about his family secrets. He has said that he cheated on his current fiancee and also about how his mother was responsible for giving him emotional trauma during his childhood days.

Kate and Oliver have a podcast called Sibling Revelry. On it, Oliver talked about his early relations with his mother Goldie and father Bill Hudson. Presently, Oliver and Bill are estranged.

Oliver told about the times when he had completed his course (Hoffman Process) at the Hoffman Institute. In this course which lasts one week, there is psychological retreat and attempts are made to identify and treat childhood trauma. Oliver stated:

“I felt unprotected at times,”

He continued:

“She would be working and away, or she had new boyfriends that I didn’t really like. She would be living her life, and she was an amazing mother,”

Further, Oliver revealed that the major chunk of the contribution to his childhood trauma was from his mother, Goldie who was at that time supposedly his primary caregiver. But she was most of the times not at home to help her son. Oliver expressed:

“This was my own perception as a child who didn’t have a dad and who needed her to be there, and she just wasn’t sometimes,”

Later, Kate tried to defend what her brother said after his comments went viral. She posted a video on TikTok and said:

“I was like, ‘Who cares?’ And then I really started thinking about it and I’m like, ‘Well, people do care, actually,”

She continued:

“It’s not nice when people take something out of context or they look at something you’re doing and they get all negative about it, and they poke at it, and they scrutinize it and they criticize it.”

Encouraging her brother, she added:

“These aren’t people you break bread with. These aren’t people who will enrich your life.”
“So, don’t worry about it,”
“And that’s what I said to my brother, ‘This doesn’t matter. No one really cares, and those who are writing that stuff and it’s loud and it feels bad and you think it feels bad, just remember what I’m saying.”
