Pat Harvey started her profession of journalism through the local news channel in Saginaw, Michigan, NBC-affiliate WNEM TV. She showed her skills and talent in her job and made her way to land the job at CNN.

In 1982, she worked for CNN HLN as a news anchor and later joined as an anchor for CNN’s morning news program until 1985.
