Patrick Schwarzenegger took the next step in his relationship with his girlfriend, Abby Champion.
The actor, 30, popped the question to his longtime girlfriend after almost eight years of dating. On Tuesday, December 27, he took to Instagram to share the happy news that he is engaged to Abby Champion.
He shared a series of pictures from their romantic beachside proposal, decorated with a large heart-shaped flower display made of roses and the ground surrounded by rose petals.
In the first photo of the series, The Staircase actor can be seen kissing his now-fiancee on the cheek whereas Abby flaunts her dazzling double-diamond ring.
Other photos show the couple posing behind a giant heart made out of roses and posing with a cake that read “Congratulations”.
He also tagged the post to Champion’s account and captioned it,
“FOREVER AND EVER,”
As soon as Schwarzenegger made an engagement announcement on Instagram many flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
Taylor Lautner penned down,
“I CAN NOW DIE HAPPY,”
Adding to that, Chelsea Handler wrote,
“Congrats, you two!!!,”
Similarly, Schwarzenegger’s mom, Maria Shriver, expressed her happiness, commenting down,
“Yippee bravo we are all so happy for you for your love for your now for your future your love is inspiring joy joy joy,”

A sweet love story of Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion
Patrick and Abby first caught public attention in September 2015, after they were spotted together at the West Hollywood hotspot The Nice Guy.
However, the pair didn’t confirm their relationship until a year later.
In February 2016, Abby went Instagram official with their relationship sharing a cozy photo of them. The couple often shared glimpses of their romance on social media.
Lately, Abby paid a sweet birthday tribute to her then-boyfriend Patrick on his 30th birthday in September.
She shared a cute photo of them swimming in an ocean and captioned it while praising her boyfriend. She wrote,
“Happy birthday to my sweet, handsome, hardworking, and goofy boyfriend! I love you so much!”
In a November 2022 interview with E! News, Schwarzenegger shared the key factor of the couple who managed to keep their relationship strong despite having to spend a lot of time apart due to busy schedules.
“We love each other and it’s okay when she goes away for a week or I go away for a month filming, We’re moving and I feel very fortunate to be able to be together and live together.”
He then went on to gushed about his future wife, praising her,
“She’s such a hard worker, he’s a hard worker, dedicated, determined. She moved here from Alabama to pursue her dreams to become a supermodel.”
The couple also collaborated on various brands and campaigns including the Fall 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign and a Vogue fashion shoot in November 2022.
