He co-wrote materials for various artists including Natalie Imani, Rosie Bondz, Aaron Camper (including the 2016 single “Guns and Roses”), and Tierra Whack (“Child Please” and 2018’s “Pretty Ugly”).

But after surviving a three-year battle with a rare esophageal disorder with a near-death experience, he felt inspired to start singing and signed a digital distribution deal with Human Resources.

He made his record debut in July 2018 with ‘Honesty’ and ‘No Replacing You’.

‘Honesty’ gained attention on streaming platforms and reached #10 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral Chart and accumulated over 2 million streams within 8 weeks.

He released ‘No Replacing You’ on July 26.

His stage name, Pink Sweats was adopted as he always wore pink sweatpants while recording.

Talking about the origin of his famous name, he recalled,

I would come to the studio for a couple of months, and I was on this pink wave where I would wear these pink sweatpants every single day.

This dude, didn’t know my name, and I wasn’t around, and he was like, “Yo, where’s pink sweats?” And then someone told me and I was like, “Wait, that’s fire. If I was ever an artist, that would be my name.”

On November 2, 2018, he released his debut EP, ‘Volume 1’. On March 28, 2019, he released its sequel EP, ‘Volume 2’.

On May 25, 2022, Pink performed at the 14th Seoul Jazz Festival.
