Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend King Charles III’s coronation?
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received an invitation from King Charles to attend his formal coronation amid tension in their relationship.
A spokesperson for the former Royal pair said,
“I can confirm The Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the coronation,”
“An immediate decision on whether The Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”
Charles became king right after his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed in September 2022.
The King is set to be formally crowned as the monarch on May 6. Harry and Meghan’s fans believe that the date was chosen intentionally to cause more conflict between the family and the Sussexes. It is their son Archie‘s fourth birthday.
Last month, royal sources claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would definitely be invited to the historic ceremony.
Their relationship started getting worse when Harry and Meghan stepped down from their duties as senior royals in January 2020.
The Royal drama took a worse turn when Charles and Diana’s youngest son, 38, published a tell-all memoir. In the memoir, Spare, Henry revealed all sorts of family secrets. It included an alleged physical altercation with his brother, William.
If that was not enough, Harry also claimed that Charles, 74, liked making disrespectful comments about redheaded Harry’s real father.

Harry claimed Charles joked about not being his real father
In his bombshell memoir, the former army veteran wrote,
“Pa liked telling stories, and this was one of the best in his repertoire. He’d always end with a burst of philosophizing … Who knows if I’m really the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?”
He added,
“He’d laugh and laugh, though it was a remarkably unfunny joke, given the rumor circulating just then that my actual father was one of Mummy’s former lovers: Major James Hewitt,”
The Royal continued,
“One cause of this rumor was Major Hewitt’s flaming ginger hair, but another cause was sadism.”
While Harry and Meghan have been speaking about the alleged treatment they received from the institution, the Royals have yet to address the claims made by the couple.
Harry first saw Meghan, who was an actress at the time on Instagram in 2016.
Their romance started from thereon and in July of that year they met in person through a mutual friend.
After dating for two years, the couple announced their engagement in November 2017. They married on May 19, 2018.
