After his March 2018 hospitalization, rapper Rick Ross spoke to the US Weekly.

He said:

“I’m good, man. I’m good. Nothing has really changed,”

The recent health scare

William Leonard Roberts or Rick Ross as he is lovingly called is a Grammy-nominated music star. On 1 March this year, Rick Ross, 42 was found unconscious and unresponsive at his Miami, Florida home and emergency services were called in. He was admitted to a hospital where he was rumored to be on life support but his family denied the reports.

The moral support

Rick Ross received the massive support of his family and famous pals on social media. Missy Elliot wrote:

“I BELIEVE in the Power of Prayer. Sending Prayers up for Rick Ross.”

Combs urged fans to pray for the rapper and wrote:

“Let’s all pray for Rick Ross.”

Snoop Dogg stated that Rick Ross was in his prayers and wrote:

“Hope you pull thru my brotha.”

Rapper Gucci Mane also pitched in:

“Everyone pray for my buddy RickRoss to get well soon!”

Get-well-soon messages also poured in from actor and comedian Martin Lawrence and rapper Fat Trel.

The discharge from the hospital

The exact cause of the unconsciousness and illness was not revealed to anyone but TMZ has reported that it was probably some respiratory issues pneumonia-related.

He was released from the hospital this year after a four-day stay. He put up an Instagram post after his hospital discharge showing his Rolex watch and icy wrist jewelry and captioned it:

In 2011, Rick Ross had suffered 2 seizures within a time interval of 6 hours. After that, he was better. He changed his lifestyle and decreased 75 pounds of weight. He also did the requisite dietary changes.

Rick Ross’ new music

After his recuperation, Rick Ross is focusing on his new album called Port of Miami 2. He told US Weekly:

“I am putting the final touches on my new album called the Port of Miami 2,”

He added:

“You should be seeing the new single ‘Green Gucci Suit’ featuring Future. You should be seeing that real soon.”

Rick also stated that he would be addressing his latest health complications in his new music. This would be Rick’s 11^th studio album. Besides doing music, this Florida native is also entering the men’s self-care arena. He would be coming out with a 9-piece collection of grooming products for men which will be called RICH by RICK ROSS. Talking about this new business venture, Rick said:

“Being your best can only enhance your personal performance, When I used to sit in the office with Jay Z and L.A. Reid … we would negotiate back and forth and discuss music. You’re sitting in front of someone for hours. It’s all about being passionate. Everything begins with yourself.”

Rick added:

“Are you the person who just wakes up, puts your T-shirt on and runs out of the house? Or do you wake up an hour early — get your mental notes together, fix you a little coffee … prepare yourself for the day and try to do something really great? It begins with you.”

Regarding his look

Rick does not plan to change his look at the moment. His signature beard would continue to be there. He said:

“I love my beard. Since I was a baby, [my father’s] beard was fully gray. When I get older… that’s what I look forward to, When it gets fully gray I want to know what kind of shine and chic is going on at that time and I’m going to enjoy that moment. Women reach out and try to grab it, touch it. You know, it’s something that’s apart of me.”
