It has come to light that Meghan Markle is getting some troubles. This is the third case of resignation by a close aide of the royal household daughter-in-law.

Meghan Markle’s security personnel quits the job

The police officer who was Meghan Markle‘s female bodyguard is reported to have left her job. She has not been named by the tabloids for security reasons. But she is the same bodyguard who had sprung into action and safely ushered Meghan out of the Suva Municipal Market in Fiji after an alleged security scare.

This happened during Meghan’s royal tour of Australia and the Pacific in October 2018. She held the rank of an Inspector and succeeded Sgt Bill Renshaw, Harry’s long-standing head of security, who retired after serving the royal family for more than 30 years. She was on this job for only six months.

She is the third close aide of Meghan who has resigned within the last two months.
The resignation seems to be ill-timed since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are due to shift to their Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle where Meghan is due to deliver her first child.

Scotland Yard’s view

Megan’s desire to be seen as one of the people is challenging for her protection team. She has not grown up in the royal household and is not used to any kind of protection from an early age.

A source from the Scotland Yard explains:

“Unlike someone who has grown up in the Royal Family and has been used to close protection from an early age, having it can be quite constraining.
“Even though she was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely.
“But in her current role she can’t go anywhere without her protection team and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her.”

This emerging trend of resignation from senior staff members of Meghan Markle is a matter of concern. Reports, released last month state that Meghan Markle received the nickname Duchess Difficult by the palace staff since she is a very demanding personality.

The other two aides of Meghan Markle who have quit

Last November, Meghan Markle’s Australian private secretary Samantha Cohen, 49 was the first to resign. Samantha has been working for the Royals for the past 17 years and used to be the Queen’s assistant private secretary and also a spokesperson for her. She started work for Meghan before Megan’s wedding to Prince Harry and it was supposedly a temporary job.

The second person to say bye to her job was Meghan’s personal assistant Melissa Touabti who resigned in December 2018. She also had worked for Meghan for only six months.
