King Charles sends a congratulatory message on Princess Anne’s birthday
King Charles expressed his love for his sister Princess Anne on her 73rd birthday.
As the princess added one more year, her big brother was one of the first to send a birthday wish to the royal.
The Royal Family tweeted with a birthday cake emoji, posting two rare photos of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip’s eldest son and only daughter,
“Wishing Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal a very Happy Birthday today!”
The first photo showed Anne and Charles, 74, smiling on his coronation day which took place on May 6. In the photo, the newly crowned King looked joyful wearing the Imperial State Crown and Robe of Estate. Anne, for her part, looked smart in her uniform as she looked lovingly at her brother. The photo was taken by royal photographer Chris Jackson and was not seen before.
Another special shot shared by the palace was a child snap of her and Charles which was taken at Clarence house in July 1951.
The adorable black-and-white photo of the then-young royal siblings came from the Royal Collection Trust when Charles was 2 ½-year-old and Anne was just 11 months old.
The then-prince held his baby sister’s hand and tried speaking to her. It reminded royal fans of an image that Clarence House shared for Anne’s birthday in 2021.
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also shared their special wishes for Anne, writing,
‘Wishing a very happy birthday to The Princess Royal today!’
They shared a snap of Princess Edward and Sophie sitting alongside Anne during an open carriage ride at Ascot in 2019.

Princess Anne received a special birthday king from Charles
Talking about birthday gifts, the King awarded his sister a new military title as an early present.
On Friday, Buckingham Palace announced that the King gave new appointments and affiliations to nine members of his family including Princess Anne. She received the title of Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
Buckingham Palace said that the monarch recognized the princess’ strong links to Scotland and existing ties to the regiment as Colonel-in-Chief of the 1st Battalion, The Ranger Regiment, and 6th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland.
The Palace said in its statement at the time,
“Following His Majesty’s Accession, The King is pleased to announce further military appointments for working Members of the Royal Family,”
“The new appointments will continue to reflect the close relationship between the Armed Forces and the Royal Family in His Majesty’s reign.”
Princess Anne might have received the honor since she shares a special bond with her brother.
