There are three new varieties of roses namely ‘Timeless Cream’, ‘Timeless Pink’ and ‘Timeless Purple’. They are healthy, fragrant, and suitable for the arrangement of flowers indoors in one’s home.

Roses that now form part of the Home Florist range look good and have the benefit of looking spectacular in the garden too.

Why are the varieties Timeless?

The new pink, cream, and purple varieties of roses are named Timeless since they have a heady rose fragrance and possess a classic flower shape. These varieties are bred in Bavaria by Noack Roses and are then hand crafted by and propagated by Wharton Roses in Norfolk.

Each of the rose variety plants grows to 90 cm or 3 feet tall. These varieties rapidly produce new flowers after the first blush of blooms has been cut.

The managing director of Wharton Roses, Robert Wharton states:

“‘We have seen an increase in demand for healthy, longer flowering varieties over the past few years that we have linked to the ever growing trend for home flower arranging; most likely triggered by celebrity florists inspiring people to bring flowers into their own homes and stunning arrangements using UK garden flowers such as those at the Royal Wedding.”

The Royal Wedding’s flower arrangements

The flowers for the royal ceremony at St. George Chapel and reception at Windsor Castle included mainly pink roses and white blossoms from royal florist Philippa Craddock’s London shop.

The arrangements featured white garden roses, foxgloves, and peonies as well. The flowers which bloom naturally included branches of beech, birch, and hornbeam.

Philippa had said:

“I am excited and honoured to have been chosen by Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle to design and create their wedding flowers, Working with them has been an absolute pleasure. The process has been highly collaborative, free-flowing, creative and fun.”

After the wedding, the flowers went to charitable organizations. The Royal Parks Nursery provided the flowers. Fresh flowers came in handy to decorate the lemon elderflower wedding cake. Meghan Markle had revealed before that large blooms were her favorites.

Robert added:

“Not only do customers want their roses to look spectacular both in the garden and in a vase they want the fragrance of a traditional old rose too and that is where this range truly stands out for me. Modern, disease resistant rose varieties can offer so much more and we hope this range continues to encourage people to grow their own flowers for their home.”
