Sam Forman is a producer and writer. He is known for TV series Claws, Hand of God, The Blink, and Five Days Gone. He co-created the Civil War-era television pilot Hickory Hill for AMC.

Sam Forman is born to a Jewish family. His parents spent six months of the year on Nantucket. Also, he said,
“My family knows which parts were inspired by real life, but for every one thing from actual experience, there are ten from imagination. Parts of me have come out in all the characters in surprising ways. That’s what playwriting has been for me. You look at a situation from different points of view and put yourself inside other characters.”
Sam attended the Northwestern and earned his bachelor’s degree. After that, he earned an MFA in playwriting from Columbia University. He is the alumni of Youngblood at EST, Ars Nova’s Playgroup.
