Sam Smith, yet again found themselves trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons. The singer received immense backlash after a disastrous stage diving video went viral.
The Unholy singer became a hot topic on Instagram when a user shared a clip of a person jumping into the audience and wrote,
‘Sam Smith went to stage dive and nobody caught him’
The video where the person’s face was not shown showed the crowd parting, making the person quickly fall to the ground in a painful-looking incident.
One user tweeted,

Another wrote,

However, it was later revealed that fans were duped into believing that it was Sam and it was some stage invader dressed up like a ninja turtle who randomly threw himself into a crowd at a Vanilla Ice concert in Oregon, US, on Saturday.
While many spread hate for the 31-year-old singer, many were quick to defend the singer with one tweeting,
”Despite various ACCOUNTS spreading false information. Sam Smith DID not stage dive at any Concert..”
Another wrote,
”worrying how many people genuinely thought it was Sam Smith in that stage dive clip.”
A third person tweeted,

Smith is currently suffering from voice problems
Many people might have confused the man with Sam since they are currently on their Gloria tour.
However, the Good at Goodbyes singer was forced to cancel the rest of their UK shows due to vocal cord problems.
Fans were sad after Smith canceled their concert in the middle at the AO Arena in Manchester just after a few songs.
