Cori Broadus has released from the hospital a week after suffering a stroke

Snoop Dogg‘s daughter Cori Broadus is recovering well and has been discharged from the hospital after a week-long hospitalization.

She gave an update on her health status after suffering a deadly stroke last week. On Wednesday, January 24, Broadus posted an Instagram story announcing her discharge from the hospital.

She revealed the report from her chest CT scan had come back “normal” so she was allowed to go home. The 24-years-old singer wrote,

“My ct scan of my chest came back normal and I’m going home today, I can [probably] cry omgggg, Thank you thank you for the continuous prayers, love etc.”

Hours later, Cori also shared a snap of her lounge, which featured a ban that reads, “Welcome home”. Besides, she added three excited emojis with sticking-out tongues.

The post comes a few days after Cori announced her of being recovering on her Instagram story,

“God is working overtime you hear me! My kidneys were doing terrible … doctors came in this AM and said they are improving so much (sic)”

Similarly, she expressed her eagerness to return home in another post, writing,

“Again I’m human and I go through [stuff] like everybody else which is why I’m so open about my life because I know I feel alone. But we are never alone, someone is always going through damn near the same. Still here hoping to be home soon. (sic)”

Snoop Dogg shows concerns about his daughter’s health

Snoop Dogg spoke to PEOPLE about his daughter’s health during the Tuesday premiere of his new film, “The Underdoggs.” He said to the outlet that Cori is “going a little bit better” after a stroke.

Similarly, when he was asked if his daughter’s health scare had put life in perspective for him, he replied,

“Yeah, yeah. Something like that.”

Cori’s mother, Shante Broadus also shared an Instagram post sharing a sweet throwback photo with Cori ahead of her return home.

She then went on to praise her, captioning the post,

“To The Strongest Person I Know, My Baby. My Warrior. Honored God Chose Me To Be A Vessel To Bring You Into The World. My Princess.”
