Stephon Marbury is a well-known former American professional basketball player and at present a coach.

He is best known as a player from Beijing Ducks wearing jersey number 3. In 2001 and 2003 he was an NBA All-Star.

His father’s name is Don Marbury and his mother’s name is Mabel Marbury.

He has two sisters: Stephanie and Marcia, as well as four brothers: Donnie “Sky” Marbury, Eric “Spoon” Marbury, Norman Jou-Jou Marbury, and Moses Marbury.

He is active in the sports field since 1996 and he is still playing. He started playing for Milwaukee Bucks where he was selected in the 1996 NBA Draft.

Soon he was traded to Minnesota Timberwolves and he played the team until he was traded to New Jersey Nets in 1999.

Playing for the Nets he blossomed into an All-Star. He was again traded to Phoenix Suns in 2001 where he played till 2004.

On 5 January 2004, he became a player for the New York Knicks. On 2 December 2007, while he was playing a match with Phoenix Suns, his father passed away.

He was banned from attending any Knick’s practices and games so he joined Boston Celtics on 27 February 2009.

Stephon Marbury was offered a one-year contract by the Celtics but he refused it and joined Shanxi Zhongyu Brave Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association in January 2010.

However, he left the team and joined Fashion Darling in December 2010 where he played the starring five of the 2011 CBA All-Star match.

Then he started playing for Beijing Ducks in 2011.

This player is now retired and serves as a coach for a team named Beijing Royal Fighters.

Besides his professional basketball career, he is also a philanthropist who has helped the victims of Hurricane Katrina and victims of the September 11 attacks.

Stephon Marbury has also partnered with Steve & Barry to promote a line of shoes and clothing with the name of ‘Starbury’.
