Carole Baskin has claimed that her husband Don Lewis is alive and well.
He disappeared in 1997 at the age of 59 and is 84 today if he is alive like Carole has claimed.

The star of Tiger King, Carole Baskin, revealed to the hosts of This Morning in a November 2021 ITV interview that Homeland Security had discovered her missing husband, Don Lewis, alive.

The internet is only now becoming aware of her accusations, despite the fact that not a single source has emerged in the 14 months after the interview aired to support them.

Her story goes like this:

“One of the really exciting things that came out of Tiger King 2 is that they produced a letter from Homeland Security,” she told the hosts. “And it says that a special agent in charge with the FBI at Homeland Security reached out to the sheriff’s detective George Fernandez — which means this had to have happened after 2002 because Homeland Security wasn’t even around until 2002.”

She added:

“They said that my husband Don Lewis is alive and well in Costa Rica. And yet all of this hay has been made about me having something to do with his disappearance when Homeland Security has known where he is at least since back then.”

Baskin also pointed out how unlikely it was that he was still alive because he wouldn’t have had access to any of his money. She found what was left of the $1 million he had planned to take to Costa Rica after he vanished, but there wasn’t much.

“It was only about $80,000 because the investments he had made were so bad. So I don’t know how it is that Homeland Security says he’s alive and well in Costa Rica, but I’m glad to hear it.”

The FBI or Homeland Security have not yet confirmed or denied the claims made by her.

Carole Baskin was accused of murdering Lewis and is now married to Howard Baskin

At the height of the coronavirus outbreak in 2020, the well-known Netflix documentary series shot to fame. Don Lewis, Baskin’s ex-husband, unexpectedly vanished in 1997, she stated during the event. According to CBS News, after their marriage, She never spoke to Lewis again.

Howard Baskin married the Netflix celebrity again in 2004. Many of the show’s viewers believed Baskin may have been connected to her ex’s disappearance after her series, which tracked the unusual exploits of now-incarcerated big-cat keeper Joseph Maldonado-Passage (or Joe Exotic as most people know him), concluded.

Regarding her mysteriously vanished ex, some admirers came up with some bizarre conspiracy ideas, one of which was that she was somehow involved in a murder-for-hire plan.

Joe Exotic also charged Baskin with giving her ex-husband to the tigers at Big Cat Rescue. Baskin joined a “secret” celebrity support group because the allegation left her feeling so traumatized.

Where is Carole’s ex-husband Don Lewis now?

Don Lewis is still listed as being legally dead even though Baskin claims that the US government is aware he is alive and residing in Costa Rica.

Additionally, he hasn’t publicly admitted that he isn’t dead and he doesn’t seem to have come back to America.
