Sasha Colby is an American drag performer and a beauty pageant competitor. In 2023, she competes in the 15th season of Rupaul’s Drag Race. Colby is the drag mother of the 14th season contestant, Kerri Colby. She was born in Hawaii on July 26, 1985, as the youngest of seven children.

Colby’s Personal Life – Does she have a boyfriend?

Regarding Colby’s personal life, she is a transgender woman who likes keeping her personal life private. However, she has revealed that she does have a boyfriend. In an interview with the Knockturnal, Sasha was asked where she was when she got the call for Rupaul’s Drag Race and her response was:

“When I got the call for Season 15 I was in bed.  Naked!  Swaddled in orange fabric and orange hair.  And I was watching a history documentary while my boyfriend was watching ‘Naked and Afraid.’  And he taped me when it happened.”

This is the only time she has mentioned her boyfriend anywhere and she has not posted him on her social media either. So, we don’t know who her boyfriend is.

Sasha Colby’s Professional Career and Rise to Fame

Sasha Colby is not only a drag performer and beauty pageant competitor but also a model and activist. She performed in Sasha Velour’s drag performance NightGowns in 2018 and the 2020 docuseries based on the stage production. Colby wore a look modeled like Lopez as she walked the runway with other drag queens prior to Jennifer Lopez’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Moreover, she is also a trans model and activist. In 2020, Sasha appeared in the GLAAD film from 2020 that featured drag queens from all 50 states and aimed to encourage people to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Sasha also ran a regular transgender event at the LGBT nightclub The Chapel in West Hollywood, California, before the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2012, she won the title of Miss Continental.

In 2023, she is gaining fame as a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Despite acknowledging that not everyone accepts drag performers and trans people, Sasha Colby expresses individuality and encourages others to live authentically through her performances. She said:

“At the end of the day, drag is an art form. Drag is an outlet to create. And like any other art, whether it’s sculptures, music, or high art — it’s subjective. And you will like certain art, and you will not, and I think once we really honor what we’re here to do — which is to be a vessel to create, and to work through trauma, or to unite people in a common way of thinking or looking at something differently — that’s what drag does.”
