1. Debra Ferullo is a professional makeup artist with many celebrity clients
Drew Barrymore is one of Debra Ferullo’s famous clientele, and she does makeup for several other celebrities. Britney Spears, Gabrielle Union, Kate Hudson, Mariah Carey, Nicole Scherzinger, Mark Wahlberg, and George Clooney are just a few of her alleged clientele, according to Stylectory.

2. Watching her mom in the late 70s sparked her interest in makeup
In an interview with Tracey Mattingly News, she revealed that watching her mom put on makeup sparked her interest. She revealed:
“I remember being very, very young sitting on my mom’s hamper in her bathroom and watching her put on her makeup. It was the late ’70s and she was into a more natural look. She wore peaches, browns and corals — to this day it’s still one of my favorite looks.”
She added:
“l loved watching her so much and, although I wasn’t supposed to, I would sneak in and play with her makeup while she was at work. I guess that’s when I realized what I wanted to do with my life.”
3. Ferullo has known Drew Barrymore for a long time
According to a news release from HGTV, Barrymore views Ferullo as a “sister,” and the two have known each other for close to 20 years.
The famous actress describes Ferullo as her “moral compass” and “ride or die” in “Celebrity IOU.”
The pair admits in the show that they came from quite diverse backgrounds. Drew had to create her own family throughout the course of her life while Ferullo on the other hand, comes from a close-knit Italian family. Despite their different upbringings, they seem to understand each other very well.
According to the makeup artist, Drew is her “biggest cheerleader”. She also went on to explain that the actress feels like “family to her 1000%” and has an “unconditional love” for her.
4. Drew Barrymore and Debra Ferullo went through difficult divorces together
Debra and Drew leaned on each other “through difficult divorces.” In 2016, when Barrymore went through a divorce with Will Kopelman, the makeup artist helped her dear friend.
“She sat with me and listened to me for years.”
Unfortunately, Debra also went through a difficult divorce and this time, Drew was there with her. She recalled:
“The times where I was just as broken as I could get, she was the voice that pulled me up.”
5. Is a single mom with one teenage son
Like Drew Barrymore, Ferullo is also a single mom. She has a teenage son named Michael.
On “Celebrity IOU,” Debra said,
“My son is my everything. I wanted my house to be the house where all the kids want to come.”
6. Debra Ferullo’s house is getting a full makeover
HGTV announced in a press release that Debra’s house is getting a makeover with the help of her friend Drew Barrymore and the Scotts with a “stylish and functional indoor and outdoor renovation.”
They surprised Debra at her front door and the show host explained:
“I know that you haven’t been able to work on it and if it’s okay, we want to come in and improve the home that you have earned and fought for with all of your heart.”
According to a press release,
“The spectacular end result will include a modern kitchen with a sleek island and tons of needed storage, a luxe dining space to entertain guests or do homework, and a large outdoor deck featuring a hotel-worthy seating area.”
