Anthony Rapp, 51, and fiancé Ken Ithiphol marked the arrival of their first baby via surrogate on Friday, December 2, 2022.

Just days after welcoming a little life via surrogate, the gay couple is introducing their newborn son Rai Larson on Instagram. They wrote in a lovely caption, paying tribute to the little son,

“Ken and I are thrilled to share that our family has grown! Our son, Rai Larson Ithiphol, was brought into the world on Friday, December 2, 2022, by an incredibly generous surrogate, to whom we are eternally grateful. (Rai is pronounced like ‘rye’ or ‘chai.’) We love him very much.”

Anthony Rapp and his fiancé Ken Ithiphol received an outpouring of love in the comments section from friends and fans after spilling the big secret of a newborn baby boy.

Rapp’s Star Trek costars Ethan Peck and Lauren Lapkus simply congratulated the new father on their parenthood journey. Meanwhile, Rapp’s fellow Rent original Broadway cast member Daphne Rubin-Vega commented,

“HALLELUJAH !! Welcome home, Rai!”

Relationship Timeline of Parents Anthony Rapp and Ken Ithiphol

American actor Anthony Rapp and his leadership coach fiance were dating for quite some time before they revealed that they were engaged in November 2019.

Rapp popped the big question to his love of life Ithiphol after nearly 4 years of dating, which Rapp wrote on Instagram,
