He joined the New York City Ballet as a soloist in 1997. The following year, he was promoted to Principal Dancer.

He co-founded the company Ballet Next in 2011 along with principal dancer Michele Wiles and served as co-director until 2013.

He changed from Ballet Master to the Pennsylvania Ballet in 2015.
