What’s Cheryl Burke’s current relationship status?
Cheryl Burke is presently enjoying a single life. The Ballroom dancer, 39, got candid about her dating life in a recent interview with E! News at the Race To Erase MS 30th Anniversary Gala in Los Angeles on Friday, June 2.
She said to the outlet,
“I’m literally dating myself. I know that sounds so, like, cliché, ‘OK whatever.’ No, but really, I’m not looking, I’m not interested at the moment.”
She then went on to acknowledge that she hasn’t been “a great picker” of partners, reflecting her failed marriage to her ex-husband Matthew Lawrence. Burke continued,
“But until I change that Pattern – I have to really authentically change the pattern or else I’ll continue to pick maybe not the good ones for me.”
However, the former Dancing With the Stars mentioned that she still has plenty of love in her life remarking about her dog Ysabella. She said
“I’m dating my dog for god’s sake. They have no opinion, they’re great, they’re cute and they smell maybe a little bit but that’s fine.”

Cheryl gave an update on her relationship status almost a year after her divorce from Matthew. In February 2022, the now-former couple announced they were parting ways after nearly three years of marriage.
Later the same year, they finalized their divorce. Matthew, on the other hand, has already moved on as he is presently dating the TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
The new couple made their romance Instagram official on New Year’s Eve.
What is Cheryl Burke doing now?
Well, Cheryl left Dancing With the Stars in November 2022 after working for nearly 17 on the show. She has now pursued other endeavors as she is soon launching her podcast show.
In the same interview, the reality TV star and dancer admitted she is focusing on internal work. She said,
“For me, it’s been more about working myself from the inside out, and it’s been an interesting ride the last couple years, but I’ve learned so much. It puts everything into perspective, life in general.”
“I defined myself by everything that I shouldn’t have in a way because it’s so temporary—whether it’s your job, or your marriage or whatever it is, right? At the end of the day, it really starts with you, and you’re stuck with you and you better like yourself. And I’ve done a lot of work, and finally I can say I do.”
Burke concludes noting she continues to grow and hopes to pass along what she’s learned and help others. She said,
“I’m a work in progress forever, and it’s been something that has been, in a way, enlightening that I want to continue to share with the world. Because I think, I’m no professional by any means, but I have definitely lived a lot already.”
