Chrissy Teigen clarifies that her baby boy Jack’s death was not a miscarriage

Chrissy Teigen can never really recover from her baby Jack‘s demise.

On Thursday, the model shared that her late son, Jack passed away in a life-saving abortion and not a miscarriage as she previously revealed.

It recently came as a shock to the model as well who had believed that it was a miscarriage.

“Two years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John and my third child, I had to make a lot of difficult and heartbreaking decisions,”

The Cravings founder added:

”It became very clear around halfway through that he would not survive, and that I wouldn’t either without any medical intervention.”

Teigen revealed that she had great medical care along with the love and support of family, friends, and fans after the devastating news became public.

John broke the abortion news to Chrissy after the Roe v. Wade controversy

The Lip Sync Battle alum shares two children, Luna, 6, and Miles, 4, with her musician husband John Legend. Currently, she is pregnant with another child.

Talking about Jack’s demise, the emotional mother said:

“Let’s just call it what it was: It was an abortion. An abortion to save my life for a baby that had absolutely no chance. And to be honest, I never, ever put that together until, actually, a few months ago.”

Teigen, like millions of others who were upset after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this year, told her husband that she feels sad for the women who have to face difficulty while going through an abortion.

It was then Legend told her that she was one of them. Teigen said:

“I fell silent, feeling weird that I hadn’t made sense of it that way,”
“I told the world we had a miscarriage, the world agreed we had a miscarriage, all the headlines said it was a miscarriage.”

The Chrissy’s court alum added:

‘‘And I became really frustrated that I didn’t, in the first place, say what it was, and I felt silly that it had taken me over a year to actually understand that we had had an abortion.”

At the end of September 2022, the couple revealed that they had lost their baby boy in a miscarriage. They posted a carousel of heart-wrenching black-and-white pictures from the hospital room.
