Christina Ricci was all over the headlines a few days back after she granted an emergency protection order against her husband.
James Heerdegen and Ricci got the order of not contacting each other through any medium.

The parents of one are not together anymore. As per the news, the actress has filed for a divorce from her husband Heerdegen.

Ricci filed a divorce from Heerdegen

The American actress has filed the divorce from her husband in the L.A. County Superior Court on Thursday. As per the report, she mentioned a reconcilable difference as the reason for the separation.

Moreover, she also reported domestic altercation on the divorce file. The parents of five years old are ending their seven years of marriage.

As per the documents, Ricci has requested sole legal and physical custody of their son. Just a week prior to filing the divorce, Ricci asked for an emergency protective order against Heerdegen.

After the report, though Heerdegen did not get arrested, however, he has the order to stay far from Ricci. Neither Ricci nor Heerdegen have made any official statement about all the matter going on.

The couple met on the set of the short-lived ABC series Pan Am in 2011. However, it was not love at first sight, as they did not date each other for a year after their first meeting. In 2013, the couple finally got engaged in February after a year of dating.

They tied the knot the same year in October alongside their close friend and family. They had their wedding ceremony at Harold Pratt House and Peterson Hall on Manhattan’s Upper Eastside.
