Masterchef contestant Courtney Roulston reveals that she is engaged to her lesbian partner Sophie King!

Masterchef star Courtney Roulston recently opened up about her lesbian relationship and her same-sex fiancee Sophie King.
She also displayed her engagement ring.

Courtney Roulston and her lesbian relationship

The star of Masterchef Courtney Roulston gave her viewers and fans a shock in a recent episode when she said that she is in a same-sex relationship. Many of her fans were unaware of it.

When the judges were praising the dish she cooked on the show, Courtney disclosed:

‘I’ve been tinkering with the idea of opening up a wine bar with my partner, Sophie.’

The Masterchef participant is the Sydney Swans AFL Team Chef. She first appeared on the show in its 2010 season. So she had a secret engagement about which she spoke now on the show. But though shocked by her disclosure, her fans were also delighted for her on learning the news.

Later on, one of her fans tweeted:

“I didn’t know Courtney has a fiancée, I heckin stan!”

Another fan wrote:

“Courtney mentioning her partner was super cute and not something that would have happened when MasterChef first aired in 2009!”

And a third commented:

“Courtney’s gay?! I LOVE HER MORE!!’ while another wrote: ‘OH MY GOD I FORGOT SHE WAS GAY OK LETS GO COURTNEY!!!”

Another of them also tweeted:

‘Courtney is a lesbian omg yessss I’m rooting for her from now on.’

While another fan remarked:

About Courtney’s engagement ring

Courtney, 41 also showed off her sparkling engagement ring during the episode of the show. It was a valuable piece made by Fowler and Oldfield Ltd Diamond Merchants.

It had a vintage cushion-cut emerald stone that was surrounded by halo diamonds. Additionally, it had a thin band that allowed the gemstone and diamonds to take center stage.

The couple got engaged in 2014. It was Sophie who proposed to Courtney when they were on a vacation to Byron Bay, New South Wales.

Sophie posted on her Facebook at that time:

“My wife to be @courtneyroulston.
“The most beautiful person inside and out. Absolutely delighted that she said ‘yes’.”

On an earlier occasion, last week, Courtney had talked about her wedding plans to The Daily Telegraph. She stated that she had never dreamed of a lavish wedding and Party. But still, she was looking for a big party to mark a special day in her life.

She explained:

‘I want something that is enjoyable, some really good food and some good friends. A wedding should just be a big party.
‘I don’t want a $20,000 wedding dress or any of that stuff. I am pretty old school.’
