Accused of pretending to be Charli D’Amelio

Around April 2020, Ellie Zeiler’s name started appearing all over for being the lookalike of Charlie D’ Amelio. But the fans of one of the most followed TikTok star Charlie D’Amelio accused her of copying and pretending to be like her.

One of Charli’s fan wrote,

“So we all know this girl Ellie Zeiler, who has gone viral recently for looking like Charli D’Amelio. Well, she created an account on Twitter pretending to be Charli. Here’s one of the pictures she posted. If you look at one of Ellie’s TikToks, she has the same exact rings. She even likes her own posts.”

But Zeiler did not stay quiet on this matter and slammed the accusations that she is not pretending. She wrote on her Instagram,

“My account is @elliezeiler1, not @elliezeilerr. Ask them for a face reveal please because it’s all fake. I’m sorry for having to comment like this but it has gone too far. That is not my real Twitter account. Please stop.”

Ellie has a decent amount of TikTok followers so she does not need to copy others to maintain popularity on the platform. But she has been accused multiple times of imitating D’Amelio.

Similarly, she was even accused of copying Hype House’s Avani at one point, due to a TikTok that seemed similar to one of Avani’s.

Ellie again received backlash when a fellow creator Ryan Clements said that Charlie was the better version. To his comment’s response, she wrote,

“But who is that?”

Fans accused Zeiler of shading the person she has become so famous for looking like. She was called out by many of Charli’s fans and she had to respond to it. She said,

“If you go to TikTokRoom, you’ll see I said, ‘Who is that’ to Ryan Clem (the guy who made fun of me). No disrespect toward Charli.”

Charli has not talked about anything on this subject. Some people get confused if she is related to Charli but they are not related other than their looks.
