Eric Hosmer was born as Eric John Hosmer on 24th October 1989 in South Miami, Florida. He is the son of a retired firefighter, Mike Hosmer, and nurse Ileana Hosmer.

Eric Hosmer- Professional career
When Eric was in his senior year, he hit .470 with 11 home runs. As a high school player, he received many achievements. Eric was named one of the top five prep baseball players in the country.
Hosmer signed a contract with Royals to Minor League Baseball with the Idaho Falls Chukars of the rookie-level Pioneer League. Similarly, in his first full season in the minor leagues, he was assigned to the Burlington Bees in the Class A Midwest League.
During the end of the season, he hit .241 with six home runs. Likewise, Eric played on the 2010 All-Star Futures Game and was promoted to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
Kansas City Royals
