Fabio Quagliarella started to play as a forward for Annunziatella from 1988to 1991 at the time of his early career. After that, he played for various clubs like Pro Juventude, Gragnano, and Torino in his youth career till 1999. He made his senior debut in Serie A on 14 May 2000, in a 2–1 victory over Piacenza. Fabio played for Torino from 1997 till 2005.

He then went to play for Fiorentina and Chieti on loan from 2002-03 and 2003-04 respectively. In 2005, he moved to Serie B Team, Ascoli, and represented the team till 2006.

After that, he was part of the Serie A club, Sampdoria from 2006 to 2007. After his 35 appearances for the club, he joined Udinese. The following year, he again shifted to another club, Napoli. He played in Napoli for the 2009-10 season. Later in 2010, he played for clubs like Juventus and Torino from the 2010-2014 season and 2014-2016 season respectively.

Fabio Quagliarella left Torino and returned to his former club Sampdoria in 2016. Quagliarella is currently playing in the same team as a forward. He is the team captain of  Sampdoria. He also plays at the international level for the Italian National team.
