She recounted how the smoke started seeping through the grout around the bathtub while she was getting her kids ready for bed and how quickly the thick black smoke filled the house.
“While getting my kids ready for bed and finishing bath time, smoke began to seep up through the grout around the tub. When I looked down the hallway a river of thick black smoke had already formed and was filling the house.”
She had only two minutes to evacuate her three kids and they left without shoes. Unfortunately, their four pets did not make it out alive.
Scorsone expressed gratitude to the firefighters, investigators, and neighbors who helped during the incident.
