Hailey Baldwin Bieber mourns the loss of her late Grandmother

Hailey Bieber is devastated upon the news of her grandmother’s demise on May 26. The model’s father, Alec Baldwin announced that his mother, the grandmother of Hailey and Ireland Baldwin is no more.

Alec also dedicated a lengthy post to acknowledge his mother’s life.

He began by writing:

”It is with the deepest regret that my family posts the following statement. Carol M. Baldwin, mother of actors Alec, Daniel, William and Stephen Baldwin and two daughters, Elizabeth [Keuchler] and Jane [Sasso], died today in Syracuse, New York.”

Mr. Baldwin narrated his mother’s life story from her birth to meeting her husband. Also, he shared some of her remarkable work and accomplishments and her story as a brave breast cancer survivor.

He posted:

“She joined with a group of Long Island-wide breast cancer support groups to launch an effort with SUNY Stony Brook. With the support of the university’s then president, Shirley Strum Kenny, the Carol M Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund was opened on the campus at Stony Brook.”

Mentioning the second chapter, he wrote:

“Another chapter was started some years later in cooperation with SUNY Upstate University. The combined efforts have raised millions of dollars for the cause.”

Baldwin mentioned how she fought for her life after suffering from breast cancer. He said:

“She spent the last 25 years of her life as a fighter and a champion for the cause to which she devoted her life. We are all enormously proud of her accomplishments.”

Hailey Bieber pays tribute to her grandmother

Meanwhile, Hailey also reposted her father’s post on her Instagram handle and wrote:

“We love you grandma.”

The model later shared a vintage picture of her grandmother and penned a beautiful caption that read:

”Yesterday at 5:52pm my beautiful Grandma Carol Baldwin, the matriarch of the Baldwin family completed her journey here on earth,”
”Today I celebrate her, the life she lived, and the legacy she leaves behind.”
