Among her seven children, Lucia is the only surrogate and she gave birth to the rest six.

Hilaria Baldwin expresses her love for her surrogate daughter, Lucia

Hilaria Baldwin loves being a mother to her seven incredible kids. While she gave birth to her six children, that does not mean she will face any less love toward her surrogate 1-year-old daughter, Lucia.

The yoga instructor spoke about her baby on her Witches Anonymous podcast on Sunday. Baldwin spoke candidly about Lucia’s birth in February 2021 after suffering two public miscarriages in 2019.

The 38-year-old clarified that there are many ways of becoming a parent and added:

“I don’t have a difference between my daughter that was born via surrogacy and my six other children that I carried.”

She clarified:

“There’s no difference,”
“And people assume that I’m less of a mom, that she’s less of my daughter. … She is just as attached to me as all my other ones.”

In September, Hilaria welcomed her 7th child with her husband Alec Baldwin, 64. At the time, the new mom noted:

“We’re considered to be breeders in many ways — and this is me, who has seven kids — but I understand that the historical connection of women is breeder. And if you cannot breed in the traditional way, or you do not want to breed in the traditional way, people think that they have a right to talk about it.”

Hilaria still gets broody sometimes despite having seven kids

The podcaster also revealed that there were people who shamed her for choosing to have a baby via surrogacy. It made her feel like an outcasted person who had successfully given birth to six healthy babies before.

Hilaria explained at the time:

“They don’t know my story because I have yet to share it with people,”
And one of the reasons I didn’t share it with people is they were not very nice about it. It made me so sad — the feeling of judgment. And on such innocence.”

It made Hilaria and her husband very sad that after Lucia’s birth, many reporters started questioning her validity, not just as a part of the family, but also in terms of her existence.

The doting mom also revealed that she is not going to reveal the name of the surrogate mother publicly.

But what she did reveal was that the two share an amazing relationship and talk almost every single day.

She shared:

“We’re so close and went through such amazing transformations together,”

The Living Clearly Method author added that hearing experiences of a surrogate made her choose the process.

Despite having a handful of kids to look after, Hilaria and Alec are not closing the door to more babies anytime soon.

In an interview, the fashionable mom revealed that it’s a matter of time whether or not the couple would have more kids in the future.

The Boston-born shares Carmen,9, Rafael, 7, Leonardo, 6, Romeo, 4, Eduardo, 2, Lucia, 21 months, and Illaria, 2 months with Baldwin.

Alec also shares a 27-year-old daughter, Ireland, with his ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Hilaria also confessed that her biggest difficulty as a mom is being truly present for each of her kids.
