- Many celebrities are re-creating the viral dance steps that have taken over all of the social media.
Jenne Ortega prepared for her viral Wednesday dance in just 2 days
Jenna Ortega opened up about how she performed her dance steps on Wednesday that went so viral. Never had she imagined that the dance which she performed with just a little prep would take over social media by storm.
Ortega shocked her fans when she revealed that she created the now-trending dance for her hit show in just 2 days.
On December 16, the horror It girl was a guest at The Late Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she confessed that she had no idea about the choreography until the director Tim Burton mentioned it.
Tim had thought that the actress had already figured it out but it wasn’t just the case. So, the 20-year-old started watching lots of videos of goth kids and bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees.
Jenna confessed:
“I’m not a dancer,”
“I didn’t sleep for two days.”
The actress also revealed that she had no time to practice her dance because of her packed schedule where she had to learn other talents of her character Wednesday Addams. There she plays the daughter from the 60s show The Addams Family.
Ortega added:
“I was doing cello that week, fencing that week,”
“I was kicking myself, I felt like such a fool.”
Celebrities who re-created Wednesday’s iconic dance moves
Overall, Jenna performed incredibly well and the dance which was filmed to the 1981 song Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps would go viral everywhere right after its debut on the hit series’ 4th episode in December 2022.
She was also COVID-positive during the time of her performance which must have been incredibly difficult for her.
Many users on TikTok are recreating the amazing dance, often on Lady Gaga‘s song Bloody Mary. Even Gaga herself followed the trend and made a video performing the steps as well.
The Bad Romance hitmaker dressed up in a full-on gothic look, strikingly similar to what Wednesday would wear. Gaga happily danced it off to her own song Bloody Mary.
Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West also performed a recreation of the trending dance scene which they shared with their followers on TikTok.
The mother-daughter duo showed off their best moves as they re-created the iconic steps to Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary.
Camila Cabello, who is a big fan of the Netflix hit also shared a video where she gave her best performance in the Wednesday Dance Challenge.
The Cuban singer, dressed in an all-black ensemble did the steps alongside a friend of hers who wore a red gown.
Just like the viral dance, the show also is a very successful one. It beats out Stranger Things as the most viewing time on Netflix with over 400 million hours for the English-language series.
However, the South Korean hit drama Squid Game is still Netflix’s most popular series of all time.
