Jinder Mahal is the ring name of a Canadian professional wrestler Yuvraj ‘Raj’ Singh Dhesi who performs in WWE Raw. He has been trained under four veteran wrestlers including Olympic bronze medalist Allen Coage, who is also a wrestler.

Born as Yuvraj Singh Dhesi in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 19, 1986. He is of Punjabi Sikh origin and speaks Punjabi and English fluently. He is of Indo-Canadian ethnicity and has Canadian nationality. He is the nephew of wrestler Gama Singh.

Jinder Mahal was the PWA Champion from 2008 to 2010 and also worked for Prairie Wrestling Alliance. He also competed for Great North Wrestling (GNW) where he fought with wrestlers like Samoa Joe and Hannibal.

In 2010, he moved to Tampa, Florida to join Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) and made a debut on SmackDown under the name ‘Jinder Mahal’ on April 29, 2011.

In SmackDown he was happy to see a wrestler ‘The Great Khali’ who is also from the Panjab. But their friendship didn’t last long and they got into a fight in the ring.

He even fought with the tough wrestlers including Kane, Randy Orton, Ryback, Sheamus, and much more. Mahal started to perform in NXT Wrestling for several months.

Later, he allied with Slater and McIntyre and they were called 3MB. At WrestleMania XXX, Mahal was eliminated by Mark Henry in Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

On June 12, 2014, he was released from his WWE contract and joined the Independent circuit where he performed with the name Raj Singh. He has even paired with his cousin Gama Singh Jr. to defeat and win ASW Tag Team Championship.

Jinder Mahal has even participated in Qatar Pro Wrestling Souq Waqif Championship tournament, the Japanese promotional Inoki Genome Federation (IGF), and The Great Khali’s wrestling promotion Continental Wrestling Entertainment in India.

On July 27, 2016, Jinder Mahal re-signed with the WWE as Jinder Mahal and started to perform in a tag team with Rusev. He is still active in the wrestling field and actively performs his wrestling skills.
