Justise was born in an athletic family where his father was a basketball and a member of the famed Phi Slama Jama. He has one elder sister Bianca and three elder brothers Cedrick, Brandon, and Josh. Winslow studied at St. John’s High School where he was selected as a McDonald’s All-American in 2014.

Justise Winslow started playing professional basketball since 2015. He started playing basketball professionally after being selected by the Miami Heat in the 2015 NBA draft.

On 3 July 2015, he signed a rookie contract with the Heat and started playing from there. In his debut game on 28 October 2015, he recorded five points and seven rebounds in a match against Charlotte Hornets. On 14 March 2015, he topped his season-high recording 20 points in a winning match against Denver Nuggets. He was honored with NBA All-Rookie Season Team at the end of 2015-26 season. In the beginning 2016-17 season, he missed several matches due to the sore left wrist. On 22 December 2016, he recorded a season-best with 23 points and 13 rebounds in a winning match against Los Angeles Lakers.

On 5 January 2017, Winslow went through a surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder. Till now he hasn’t been traded to any other teams and he is still playing for Miami Heat.
