Karamo Brown is getting the marriage plans in his head.

The Karamo host who is in a relationship with photographer Carlos Medel revealed that his “biological clock is ticking” and that he is ready to tie the knot.

The Queer Eye star joked,

“I’m trying not to be the boyfriend that pressures while also dropping hints,”

Brown, 42, and Medel have been dating each other for 2 years. Previously, Karamo was in a relationship with Ian Jordan for 10 years.

Brown and Jordan ended their engagement during the pandemic.

He said of their split,

“We were supposed to get married and the pandemic made us realize that there are some things we need to work on, and we weren’t able to work them out and I was willing to, but it just didn’t work.”

Brown added,

“And now we’re at a place where with my new partner, we’re not having any issues. Things are great.”

Brown made MTV history in 2004

Karamo made history in 2004 when he became the first openly gay black man cast on MTV’s reality series, The Real World.

He also has a good fan following from the famous Queer Eye quintet on Netflix.

He shared,

“None of us in any of the seasons are looking for fame,”
“We really, every episode, come together, the five of us, and sit down and say, ‘How do we help them?’ We get immersed in them…I think people saw that we were genuinely wanting to help.”

Brown also hosts the famous Karamo show, a syndicated talk show which features real people and their problems. A second season of the show has just been renewed.

The Netflix star described the show as “breakthrough TV … every day before we go out I pray and I say to my producers, ‘Our goal has to be to have these people have a breakthrough by the end of this …That’s our only goal.’

Brown added,

“And so whether it’s a mother-daughter that are in crisis, families who have not talked, have been broken, couples that are in crisis. I always make sure by the end of it they’re getting real language so that they can leave here better than I found them.”

Karamo is a single parent of a boy named Jason, 10. He received custody of him that year and also adopted the boy’s half-brother named Chris in 2010.
