Kate Hudson reflected on the possibility of having a fourth child

When Kate Hudson, 43, appeared in Byrdie’s After Dark issue on Monday, she said she could be open to having additional children.

The Academy Award-nominated actress weighed on the possibility of having a fourth child when asked about the prospect of expanding her family. She is already a mother to three children from three different dads.

Kate shares daughter Rani Rose, 4 with fiance Danny Fujikawa. She had son Ryder, 18, with ex Chris Robinson, and son Bing, 11, with ex Matt Bellamy. The Almost Famous star told the outlet,

“I’ve been having children my entire adult life. I’ve got my 4-year-old and I’ve got a kid in college. And I don’t even know if I’m done yet. You know, I don’t have that answer yet.”

Hudson went on to say that she adopts the same parenting philosophy with her children, accepting them for who they are and fostering their interests and talents. She said,

“The thing is with kids, you have to let them be who they’re meant to be,”

Well, Kate has been co-parenting her three children with three different fathers, including her current fiance Danny Fujikawa, and her ex-fiances, Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy.

Kate Hudson discussed co-parenting with her ex-husbands in a candid interview with The Sunday Times last month. She said,

“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it. The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”

Hudson added,

“Chris and I just need to check in once in a while, Matt is so wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better co-parent. You can have an amazing time with an ex-partner because you are really only focused on the love of your child.”
