Kellyanne Conway criticizes Ron DeSantis’ rebooting of Presidential campaign!

Ron Desantis, the 46th Governor of Florida is running for the post of President of the USA in the upcoming 2024 elections. He has launched his campaign already. But Kellyanne Conway, the former counselor to Donald Trump, has criticized it.

Kellyanne feels that his campaign is bad and its reboot has ruined his prospects not only for the upcoming 2024 Presidential elections but also for the next, that is, the 2028 Presidential elections as well.

Ron DeSantis’ Presidential campaign reboot

2024 Presidential elections are near. And the candidates have already begun their campaigns for it. The Governor of Florida who also is an American Republican politician, Ron DeSantis is a candidate in this election. He has launched his campaign for the Presidential post already. But just a month later after the formal launch, Ron did a reboot of his campaign.

He replaced his campaign chief, Generra Peck, and brought in James Uthmeier on that post. Moreover, Ron DeSantis laid off 40% of his initial staff in order to reduce costs. His donor Dan Eberhart denied that it was a reset. He said that it was just an internal rearrangement. Dan said:

“This is a realignment rather than a reset because both folks were already senior advisers.”

He added:

“Gov. DeSantis has to change the dynamics. That much is clear,”

But Kellyanne Conway is not happy with the reboot process. She feels that he has ruined the prospects of Ron. He did the reboot too early in the campaign run, she states.

What did Kellyanne Conway say on it?

Kellyanne Conway is full of criticisms for the campaign of Ron. She said:

“You actually don’t reboot while the ink is still wet on your campaign documents,”

Kellyanne feels that there should have been a wait of at least 6 weeks before the reboot.

She added that the damage due to the premature reboot will affect not only his Presidential run for 2024, but it will negatively affect his prospects for the 2028 run as well. In her words:

“I think he’s kind of ruined himself for 2028,”

Misalignment between voters’ expectations and Ron’s messaging

Kellyanne was rather blunt while talking about Ron. She feels that his messaging is not in alignment with that of the voters. She stressed:

“They want the economy,”
“It’s the No. 1 issue. You can’t get around it.”

But according to her, Ron is following the donors and stating and promising on what they want. He is not thinking about the voters. She explained:

“Donors don’t decide the nominees, the voters do. The voters decide who our nominees are and who our presidents are.”

Kellyanne is a Donald Trump loyalist. But her ex-husband, George Conway is against Donald Trump. While married to her, he had voiced his displeasure at the work of Donald. He is extremely critical of him on his social media. And Kellyanne supported Donald when George and Donald had disagreements on social media. In March 2023, George and Kellyanne filed for divorce. They have four children together.
