A hefty amount of child support demanded

In their recent divorce order, Christine Baumgartner asked for $248,000 per month in child support for their three children.

She claimed that she is currently unemployed and has no assets other than the $50,000 in her checking account.

Baumgartner is asking for such an amount so that she and their children may “live at a standard somewhat approaching the standard that the children will be enjoying while in Kevin’s care.”

She did, however, say that the total sum asked is “less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”

Furthermore, she stated that the figure excludes private school, healthcare, and extracurricular activities, which she wants Costner to pay as well.

She said in the statement,

“Kevin’s statement…that I have ‘refused’ to move out is simply not true. Since the initiation of this divorce, I have repeatedly told Kevin (both directly and through counsel) that I would move out once a child support order or agreement was in place. And I have taken steps to demonstrate my commitment to doing so by investigating available housing options.”

Kevin, on the other side, claimed he was unable to pay the high child support claims. The “Field of Dreams” star said that his estranged wife has an inaccurate picture of his finances now that he is no longer a cast member of the popular television series “Yellowstone”.

He said,

“I will earn substantially less in 2023 than I did in 2022. This is because I am no longer under contract for Yellowstone, the principal source of my income last year,”

Costner also claimed that his earnings are “variable and can change quite dramatically” each year. He continued by saying that he couldn’t “afford to pay those amounts and pay my living and business expenses without liquidating assets.”

The actor is apparently paying $51,940 a month with all expenses for their kids, which he considered a reasonable amount for child support.

Kevin asserted that Christine is only asking for so much money for her own gain, given that Coster allegedly spends more than $100,000 on cosmetic surgery procedures, according to the actor’s forensic accountant.

Additionally, he alleged that Baumgartner spent thousands of dollars on boutique shopping, ATM withdrawals, construction loans, and more. He claimed,

“It appears to me from Christine’s Declaration that, in the guise of asking for child support, she is really looking to replicate her own lifestyle,”

Similarly, the court document stated that Christine’s list of costs “have no basis in reality” and is “quite misleading,” as they include her “private trainer” and her “plastic surgery” under costs for the kids.

“The children do not use the services of private trainers, only Christine does. The plastic surgery expenses of $188,500/month belong to Christine – not the children,”

The 49-year-old American model and handbag designer was spotted at LAX airport alongside her children on Thursday, just hours after Costner allegedly her of spending more than $100,000 on cosmetic surgery procedures.

She arrived at the airport with a white carry-on suitcase as she wore a floral blouse and black pants. The kids, Hayes Logan, 14, and Grace Avery, 13, wore comfy outfits with gray sweaters and pajama pants.

It is unclear where and how long they are going on for. However, the trip isn’t expected to be a long one as Baumgartner is scheduled to appear in court in Santa Barbara.
