Khloe Kardashian honored her late father Robert Kardashian.

The name of the reality star and Tristan Thompson‘s son has finally been made public.

One source confirmed,

“There was talk about whether it should be Tatum Robert or should it be Robert Tatum,”
“Some in the family were leaning more towards Robert, because it honors her dad and her brother, [Rob Kardashian].”

Khloe’s dad, Robert who was a famous attorney, died of cancer in 2003.

Khloe’s mom, Kris wanted the couple to think of a name for their son but it took the Good American founder ‘‘a little while to settle on [it].”

The insider explained,

“Khloé wanted a name that was kind of unusual but not too out there and also keeping with the T theme,”

In the September 2022 episode of The Kardashians’ Khloe confirmed that her son’s name was “gonna start with a T.”

The now exes welcomed their son via surrogate in August 2022, four years after Khloe gave birth to their daughter, True.

They welcomed their baby girl in April 2018 and Kardashian made sure her daughter received a name with family ties.

The KUWTK star wrote on her app in May 2018,

“I knew I wanted my baby to have a ‘T’ initial, so one night while we were all at dinner, thinking of some names, my grandma MJ suggested True,”
“She told me it was my great-grandfather’s first name and my grandfather’s middle name,”

The reality star explained, “[It] was the only one I couldn’t get out of my head.”

Tristan fathered a child with another woman while expecting his second child with Khloe

A year after True’s birth, Khloe and Tristan parted ways amid a cheating scandal. They, however, reunited during the coronavirus pandemic. After their reconciliation, they started planning for their second child.

In an April 2021 episode of her show, Khloe told the NBA player, 32,

“I might get some embryos and get a sibling [for True],”
“I might need to borrow some sperm or get some from you.”

He replied that he was ‘‘on board.”

In November 2021, they conceived a son via surrogate but the good news was covered with Tristan’s infidelity news a month later.

The athlete cheated on Khloe by fathering a son with Maralee Nichols. He denied it at first but admitted being the father of Theo in a January post.

The news of Khloe and Tristan’s baby broke in July.

A source said at the time,

“Khloé is incredibly grateful to the extraordinary surrogate for such a beautiful blessing,”

However, sources confirmed that Khloe and Tristan were not getting back together anytime soon.

They explained,

“Khloé and Tristan already had the baby in the works when the scandal hit,”
“By then, Khloé was just like, ‘I’m going to be doing it by myself.’”
