Few Things You Did Not Know About Kobe Bryant’s Wife Vanessa Bryant; Also Know How Did They Meet And Marriage!
Vanessa Bryant is the wife of the late NBA player Kobe Bryant who lost his life in a helicopter crash. She lost her husband and 13-years-old daughter Gianna on the crash on January 26, 2020.
The couple together had four children including Gianna. The father and daughter were going to the basketball game where Gianna was supposed to play and Kobe was a coach.

Vanessa Bryant was with Kobe since her high school
Vanessa met her soulmate, Kobe, while she was in high school and she was just 17 years old. In November 1999, the couple met for the first time during a shoot for Tha Eastsidaz music video “G’d up”. They started after that and when she turned 18-years-old, the NBA player popped the questions.
Back in 2001, the duo read their vows and got married. However, at the time, his family didn’t participate in their big day as for them he was too young to get married.
Meanwhile, the family stayed away from the couple for two whole years. The NBA player showered his wife with the love, making an adorable post on social media in 2013. He posted a throwback picture of the couple with the caption which reads:
“This pic is the day I asked @ladyvb24 for her number 11/28/99. Thru the ups and downs she has been my love and best friend. 20 and 17 yrs old when we met, we have actually grown up together. A true honor and a blessing. Ti Amo Queen Mamba.”
Thick and thins in their relationships
The two went through many problems during their married life, however, they managed to stay together with love. Just after two years of their marriage, Kobe faced sexual allegations.
A 19-years-old girl from Denver, Colorado accused the NBA player Kobe that he sexually assaulted her. Vanessa stayed by his side holding hands at his rough time.
The Lakers shooting guard held a press conference at the Staples Center where Kobe stated:
“I sit here in front of you guys furious at myself, disgusted at myself for making the mistake of adultery. I love my wife with all my heart. She’s my backbone,”
The NBA player settled out of court and eventually, the case dropped. Though things went well at the time, they went through the rocky phase in their marriage in 2011.
She filed the divorce from her husband mentioning “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. The duo worked for the differences and in 2013 they announced the duo called off their divorce.
Family life of Vanessa and Kobe
The couple had them ‘I DO’ ceremony back in 2001, and celebrated their 18 years of marriage in April 2019. The duo together has four children Natalia Diamante born in 2003, Gianna Maria-Onore born in 2006, Bianka Bella born in December 2016. They welcomed their youngest child Capri Kobe was born in June 2019.
Back 2015, when he retired, Vanessa released the statement saying:
“I’m so excited to see what God has in store for us as a family now that one chapter is closing and new ones are opening”
