La La has filed for divorce from her husband Carmelo after almost 11 years of marriage and 16 years of being together. The couple shares a 14-year-old son Kiyan and she filed for divorce on 17th June 2021 in New York citing irreconcilable differences. It is revealed that they had separated for a while first splitting in April 2017. They started living apart and La La revealed,

“As La La and Carmelo have been living apart for quite some time, La La is proceeding with legal discussions as the next step in their relationship,”

Even though they are going for a divorce, their son Kiyan would be their top priority. They have a plan to move forward and focus on co-parenting. Back in 2019, Carmelo was spotted with a woman on La La’s birthday on a yacht and was accused of cheating on La La.
