Lars Ulrich on Metallica’s festival show: “It’ll be fun, it’ll be challenging, but we thrive on this shit”
Metallica fans better are prepared because there’s good news to rejoice over. The legendary band has some headbang worthy news to share; Metallica will headline five US festivals in 2020, playing two headline sets at each event.

Fans of the legendary band couldn’t be more hyped over the news. Metallica is confirmed to hit the stage at the Epicenter Festival, Welcome to Rockville and the Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival before further appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock. Thanks to a partnership between the band and Danny Wimmer Presents, the band will do a total of 10 shows over the course of all five festivals.
Metallica fans sure are lucky because the rock legends will be giving closing performances on both Friday and Sunday night of the festivals, performing unique sets each time.

Lars Ulrich and his thoughts on the festivals
The legend band’s drummer, Lars Ulrich poured out his thoughts on the festivals and expressed his gratitude upon the opportunity to perform for his beloved fanbase. In a press conference, the 55-year-old musician talked about the upcoming performances,
“I really don’t think that much about the setlist that much in advance. We like to go deep and dust off things that we haven’t played for a while. It’ll be fun, it’ll be challenging, but we thrive on this shit – and any time we get a chance to do anything outside of the norm, Metallica are four very happy guys. I don’t want to freak anybody out, but it may not come together until about 24 hours before the first show, but it will definitely come together.”
He further added:
“I think that the beauty in this is that it will be special. I think that all five of these festival appearances, all 10 of these shows will be unique. Every set is different and, obviously, it won’t be the same five groups of two setlists, so all 10 of these shows will be different.”

Metallica loves their fans and they proved it
Fan club members of Metallica are lucky since tickets are already on sale for them. As for the general public, tickets are available from today October 14 at noon Eastern time. Make sure to grab your tickets as soon as possible. Danny Wimmer Presents stated that for each ticket sold through November 19, they will donate $.25 to All Within My Hands, Metallica’s nonprofit organization that supports community education, the fight against hunger, and other initiatives close to the band’s heart.
