Las Vegas police ask for DNA sample of Cristiano Ronaldo as part of the investigation of rape against him!
The Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has rape allegations against him which were slapped on him in last October. Now as a follow-up of the case, Las Vegas police are asking Cristiano for his DNA samples as, part of the case investigation.

The Las Vegas police have requested Cristiano Ronaldo for his DNA samples as, part of the probe into the rape allegations against him.
According to the Wall Street Journal, investigating authorities from Las Vegas have despatched a warrant to the court system in Italy to identify whether his DNA matches with that of what was found on the dress of the victim named Kathryn Mayorga who has made the rape claim against Cristiano.
Cristiano is now based in Turin and Kathyrn, 34 is an American from Nevada.
What did Cristiano’s lawyer say?
Cristiano’s lawyer, Peter Christiansen stated to the BBC:
“Mr Ronaldo has always maintained, as he does today, that what occurred in Las Vegas in 2009 was consensual in nature, so it is not surprising that DNA would be present, nor that the police would make this very standard request as part of their investigation,”
Kathryn Mayorga and the rape allegations
Kathryn has alleged that Cristiano Ronaldo, 33 had sexually abused her in 2009 at a Las Vegas hotel. This news made headlines in October 2018 and the information came out through the German publication named Der Spiegel.
The incident has taken place in a penthouse suite at the Palms Casino Resort in June of 2009. The couple had seemingly met at a nightclub and Kathryn was an aspiring model at that time.
The magazine had claimed that Cristiano and the victim had reached an out-of-court settlement and Kathryn was paid $ 375000 money to keep her mouth shut on this matter.
The victim of the sexual assault had also stated that Cristiano had sent a team of fixers to stop the criminal investigation against him and gave her money to keep quiet on the matter. Cristiano had said that it was consensual sex and has branded the claim as fake.
He had tweeted:
“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense. “

Kathryn’s lawyers now want the non-disclosure clause of the agreement to be called void. Her lawyers assert that as per the psychiatrist team’s opinion, Kathryn at that time was not competent to legally agree to the settlement. There was manipulation there and Kathryn was forced to agree to the condition of non-disclosure.

Cristiano now plays for Juventus and has left the Real Madrid team. He is dating Spanish model Georgina Rodriguez and has a daughter called Alana Martina with her. Alana was born on 12 November 2017. He is also a father of three more children, who were probably born via surrogacy.
His father died in 2005 due to alcoholic liver failure and Cristiano was only 20 years old at that time. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and is in remission now.
The sexual assault allegations levied against him led to a drop in the shares of Juventus in the wake of the allegations. Nike who majorly sponsors Cristiano is also concerned about the whole problem.
