Malik charged with an assault

In October 2020, Malik Beasley was arrested after police found that he pointed an assault rifle at a family of three that approached his rental home during a parade of the home tour in the Minneapolis suburb of Plymouth. He was charged with felony threats of violence and fifth-degree drug possession.

His wife Montana Yao was charged with the same drug count after nearly two pounds of pot was found at the couple’s Plymouth home a month ago on 26th September 2020.

The victims of the assault were later able to identify Beasley in two different photo lineups. Likewise, officers detected a smell of marijuana during a subsequent search of the couple’s home.
