Mary Fitzgerald shares her septic miscarriage story

Mary Fitzgerald is doing her best to stay strong after suffering a terrible miscarriage.

On Friday, the Selling Sunset star posted an emotional video on Instagram where she revealed that she became pregnant while she was on her honeymoon with her husband Romain Bonnet, 29, in Bali.

The 42-year-old looked devastated as she choked back tears. She said,

“On top of the miscarriage, I also had a septic miscarriage,”

“So, had to go in for surgery for that.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, a septic miscarriage happens when a ‘‘woman develops an infection in the uterus and can cause chills, fever, vaginal discharge, vaginal bleeding, and a rapid heart rate. Surgery is then required to remove the cause of the infection.”

The TV star,

“I guess the only reason why I’ve been silent for a long time — and the reason why I’m speaking out now — is because I do realize how common this is and how many people go through this,”

Mary who is a mother to 28-year-old Austin added that while the time has been rough, there’s “still hope” and she will “keep trying” until she has “good news to share.”

The grieving star concluded the message by saying,

“We won’t be giving up… and if this message speaks to you in any way or you are feeling down, helpless, alone… please know we are in this together. Hang in there…”

Fitzgerald’s co-stars showed her love during the tough time

Mary’s Selling Sunset co-stars quickly showered her with love and support in the comments section.
