On Wednesday, December 4, she talked about meeting his parents on Bella’s podcast. She said:

“It was the first time Artem saw his parents in five years and his brother. He was so nervous and excited and emotional. They all got really emotional when they saw each other. They cried. I’m not gonna lie — I was really nervous.”

She recalled her first encounter with the Artem family. She mentioned that both she and his family faced a roadblock while trying to communicate as they don’t understand English. Furthermore, she explained:

“They don’t know English. I don’t know Russian, but somehow we made it work. It’s crazy when you’re put in the situation where you have a language barrier and you’re forced to communicate without speaking.”

Nikki gushed about his parents saying they are the sweetest people in the world and they also seem to like her.

After breaking the engagement with the professional wrestler John Cena, Nikki is sharing a romantic relationship with Artem Chigvintsev. Cena and Bella broke up nearly seven months in July 2018. The former parted ways and still are in good terms.

Nikki and Artem first met when they partnered up on season 25 of the reality TV dance competition in 2017. During the time, Cena and Nikki, his then-fiance were still going strong. Moreover, the wrestler had the idea that Artem would be the one to choreograph the dance at their wedding. He did mention this thing during one of the interviews:

“As far as dancing, I think he’s probably gonna teach me my first dance. So hopefully I’ll be able to take those tips from him there.”

After months of keeping their relationship under the curtains, Bella finally opened up about her and Artem’s romance on an episode of Total Bellas in March 2019.

The very next day, she made her relationship with her new beau Insta-official by posting a picture of her kissing his cheek. She captioned the picture:

“Well after that season finale First thing I’ll be talking about this Wednesday,”

Nikki officially made an announcement about them dating on an episode of “The Bellas Podcast” with her sister, Brie Bella. She said:

“Yeah, we’re dating. … There’s been a lot of speculation about us … but I’m still dating [other people]. We’re having fun. He’s showing me L.A.”
