Prince Harry attends King Charles III’s coronation

All eyes were on Prince Harry as he made his way to his seat at the King’s coronation.

The  Duke of Sussex who shares an estranged relationship with his family was all smiles as he walked into Westminster Abbey in a suit. He was accompanied by his cousins Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice and their husbands ahead of the king’s big day.

It was confirmed that Harry, who is no longer a working royal would have to sit in a third-row seat between Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, and the late Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin Princess Alexandra.

As expected, Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle was not present at the ceremony.

Many thought it would be inappropriate for the former Suits actress to be present at the coronation after everything that happened between her and her husband’s family.

An insider said,

“They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down,”

“The words that Harry and Meghan have said about the importance of their family are lining up with their actions.”

“They care about their family, so Meghan is going to stay [in California] and Harry is going to support his dad.”

The former actress stayed back home in the US with her two children, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 1, to celebrate her firstborn’s birthday.

Meghan also said that she suffered at the hands of her family saying,

“I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive.”

”But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I’ve really made an active effort.”

While the royal family will be on the Buckingham Palace balcony after the service, Harry will not be joining them as he is no more a working member of the family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 41, left their royal duties in 2020 and ultimately made a new life in California. The next year, they made their exit official.

Harry is expected to leave the city as soon as possible in order to be there for his son’s birthday. One source explained,

“There is not one right answer. Prince Harry is going to support his dad … and then he’ll be coming home as soon as possible to be with his son.”

“For all the people who say they want to be half in and half out of the royal family, this proves just the opposite.”
