The palace said that Catherine was “unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”
The statement revealed only “significant” updates on the princess’ condition would be shared with the public, as she hopes to “maintain as much normality for her children as possible.”
William and Catherine are parents to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.
The palace’s statement concluded,
“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements,”
“She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”
While the details of the royal’s surgery are a mystery, reports suggest that it is not cancer-related.
