Princess Catherine and Prince William surprise fans on Christmas
Prince William and Princess Catherine gave royal fans a delightful surprise on Christmas by releasing a new photo of their three children.
The black-and-white photo shared by the royal couple on their official Instagram account shows Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, smiling while sitting on a bench.
Charlotte sat in the middle of her two brothers with her arms around them. The photo was taken by photographer Josh Shinner.
William and Catherine, both 41, captioned the post,
“Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, from our family to yours! W & C”
Fans flocked to the comment section to send Christmas wishes to the family. One wrote,
”The cutest! Happy Christmas and God Bless!”
Another praised Charlotte’s looks by saying,
”Charlotte looks so smart in her shirt & jeans”
A third fan gushed,
”Princess Charlotte is definitely in control of them boys ♥️♥️♥️♥️ Merry Christmas to your wonderful family xxx”
The new snap appears to be taken at the same time as the family’s official Christmas card which received backlash for photoshop failure when one of Louis’ fingers was erased.
One user tweeted underneath the photo,
“Prince Louis finger is missing, also they have photoshopped someone else’s leg onto his 😒 I certainly hope taxpayers didn’t pay for it,”
Another wrote,
“Prince Louis middle finger is missing and his legs look strange,”
Catherine and William were reportedly shocked and embarrassed by the error.
How did Catherine and William’s kids do for Christmas?
Despite the royal blunder, this Christmas seemed a very busy and fun one for the trio.
The young royals accompanied their mother to volunteer at a charity which was part of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, where they helped select clothes and toys for children in need.
The three were also seen with their parents at a special Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.
The siblings also dropped off letters for Santa Claus in a red post office box before joining their famous parents for carols.
Louis, as always, turned lots of heads when he mischievously tried to blow his sister’s candle.
On Christmas day, they accompanied their parents and senior members of the family for a traditional annual morning service at the St. Magdalene Church in Norfolk, England.
Royal fans were surprised to see Sarah Ferguson at the family service, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew.
Andrew was thrown out of royal life in 2019 due to his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffery Epstein.
She had not been seen at Christmas services since the 1990s, having divorced the Duke of York in 1996.
